Walnut Teacher, Mr. Knox, completed 7th-100 mile race

Social Science Teacher and Head Cross Country Coach, Jerry Knox, ran his seventh 100-mile race this past weekend. Mr. Knox ran 100 miles in 22 hours and 30 minutes. He started the race in Norco and ended up in Palos Verdes only taking rest breaks to eat. Congratulations Mr. Knox!

Mr Knox said: "The hardest part of the race was running by the Huntington Beach Pier watching sane people relaxing and enjoying the sunset with their family, friends, and dogs while I was exhausted having run 50 plus miles and still had 40 plus to go.I did fall on my face at mile 82 but besides massive bleeding from my knuckles and knee, things went well. It’s amazing what the human body can do."
