This morning, during her 2nd-period class, we announced Tiffany Redcher as the 2022 Walnut High School Teacher of the Year! This school year, Tiffany has done a fantastic job helping students come back from remote learning and filling in the learning gap. She teaches a diverse level of students in college prep Algebra, Honors Algebra, and helps our students with remedial algebra.
In addition to her instructional influence, Tiffany has gone above and beyond by volunteering her time and support with colleagues and students outside of the regular school day. As a union representative, Tiffany has been the bridge for certificated staff on campus and in the district. We can always count on her for feedback, guidance, and making sure we are all working together collaboratively and transparently.
Serving as a class advisor has always been a passion of Tiffany's. It was important to her that the opportunities for the Senior class didn’t skip a beat with this unique return to school. Tiffany devotes hours of her time to ensure students remember fond high school memories from painting senior parking lot spaces to Senior Sunrise and Senior Sunset. If there is a need, she’s the one who will step in.
Tiffany is an exceptional educator that impacts your life like no other. Please take a minute to see how we surprised her during her 2nd-period class today by watching the video below.
