On Thursday, we announced Joe Khouzam as the 2023 Walnut High School Teacher of the Year! For 23 years, Joe Khouzam has dedicated his life to educating and inspiring young minds. We are proud to say that 11 of those years have been spent at Walnut High School. His commitment to the profession and the success of his students is truly remarkable. Joe's approach to teaching is exemplary. He is passionate, creative, organized, and impactful. He gives each of his students the attention and encouragement they need to succeed, regardless of their ability level. He continues to hold his students to high standards but also demonstrates flexibility when dealing with students' emotional and learning needs.

As the Head Basketball coach for the past nine seasons, Joe has left an indelible mark on our school's athletic program. He currently holds the record for the most wins in Walnut High School Boys' Basketball history. Beyond the wins, he has inspired his players to achieve excellence on and off the court. He has helped shape their lives and has made a positive impact on their future. It's evident by the players that continue to come back and visit years after they graduated High School.
