Congratulations to Seniors Phil Cotton and Sal Quintanilla for being selected as National Football Foundation Scholar-Athletes. Last night they were recognized at the 51st Annual National Football Foundation Awards Banquet in Alhambra.
Members needed to have a cumulative 3.0 or better GPA and have excelled on the field, in the communities, and on campus.
Sal was the CIF Offensive Player of the Year, and Phil was the CIF Defensive Player of the Year for Division 11 this past season in leading the Mustangs to their 1st ever CIF Football Championship.
Phil was also awarded a $1000 scholarship last night for outstanding athletic performance, GPA, and community service. Congratulations to Phil and Sal. Go Mustangs!
