WHS Ranked Top 1% Amongst 18,000 High Schools

On Tuesday, April 23, the highly respected U.S. News & World Report released its annual high school rankings for the 2024-25 academic year. Once again, we to announce that our very own WHS has been recognized among the best schools in both the state and the nation.

The U.S. News Best High Schools rankings, which cover nearly 25,000 public high schools across all 50 states and the District of Columbia, are a testament to the exceptional quality of education offered at WHS. These rankings encompass various types of high schools, including traditional, charter, magnet, and STEM-focused institutions. Schools are evaluated based on their performance on state assessments and their effectiveness in preparing students for college.

Here are WHS's rankings for the 2024-25 academic year:

  • #793 in National Rankings
  • #107 in California High Schools
  • #44 in Los Angeles, CA Metro Area High Schools
  • #118 in STEM High Schools
